We are looking for a talented Traction Customer Integration Controls Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business Unit in Troy, MI. Work in Accelera is exciting, fast-paced and requires new perspective and flexibility to deal with challenges relating to new technology and how to integrate it.
In this dual customer/product focused position, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Serves as the senior technical liaison between OEMs and represents our customers during new product development programs for Accelera traction products
· Owns customer engineering VPI swim lane activities for business-critical Traction Customer VPI programs relating to controls/software
· Leads controls system integration work with OEMs to ensure customer and system requirements are met, including: software integration, troubleshooting, and system controls feature interface,
· Acts as the technical voice of customer to Traction software development teams and be able to establish a good working relationship with OEMs, communicate clearly, and effectively track open issues.
· Collects and document Voice of Customer (VOC)
· Prepares Traction vehicle controls integration documentation, tools, and knowledge to share with OEMs and internal stakeholders
· Works with OEMs, fleets, account teams, & business development teams to define vehicle system requirements for use by eMobility VPI teams
· Supports new business opportunities by helping collect information, identify software features that meet requirements, and communicate current software offerings on RFI/RFQs meetings
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
· Previous experience with direct OEM customer interface is highly desired
· Previous knowledge about CAN messaging and tools highly desired
· Previous knowledge and experience with vehicle software integration is desired
· Previous experience in powertrain controls/software integration is a plus
· Previous knowledge and experience with electrified traction products is a plus
· Previous basic electrical system knowledge is a plus
