This is an exciting opportunity for Demand Planning Specialist – Seniors #TX009 in Arlington, Texas.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Coordinate the created of the Demand plans for use in synchronized business planning within each small to mid-sized business and/or Line of Business.
Liaise and consult with sales, marketing, brand/product organizations, Finance and Supply Chain to facilitate the planning process.
Work with Demand Control Leader to understand the implications of near order trends to longer term outlook.
Lead the development of the rolling 36 month forecast and support the 5 year demand forecast to support Strategic and Aggregated Planning Process.
Maintain integrity of the Demand plan and take marketing corrective actions promptly to ensure Demand Plan stability.
Apply a wide variety of Analytical Reasoning and Data Analysis tools such as Excel and Minitab on a regular basis to complete key projects and solve complex projects.
Work with cross-functional business units to ensure a dependable and efficient demand management, including daily operations.
Utilize knowledge of Business/Customers/Markets/Products to efficiently challenge Demand Plan assumptions to improve the quality and robustness of the demand plan.
Drive assumption management in demand planning.
Utilize technical Issue Management to maintain a cross-functional, cross-organizational project issues list, with appropriate prioritization based on the issue’s level of importance.
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating Systems and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Support Corporate Demand Management initiatives and lead the global business unit demand planning process to ensure global alignment.
Assimilate market data into rational logic flow and recommend courses of action based on research.
Lead consolidated sales projections for volumes and financial implications in both the monthly demand planning process and to deliver to Strategic Planning Process while working cross-functionally to support the Annual Operating Planning process (AOP).
Create common demand management processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Develop, understand, and improve necessary Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Utilize Six Sigma tools such as Voice of the Customer to develop appropriate new internal and external processes, projects and employee involvement plans.
Utilize Stakeholder Management to educate stakeholders on Supply Chain and Demand projects and create and execute communications plans to fit the unique needs of each type of stakeholder.
Skills and Experience Required:

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
· Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, Economics, or related field and four years of experience as a Supply Chain or Corporate Responsibility Specialist, Supply Chain or Marketing Analyst, or related position.

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
