As part of our commitment to the Cummins “hire to develop” strategy, we are offering students within their penultimate study year the opportunity to complete a 12 month, fully paid industry based learning program. This program has opened up many doors for undergraduates for more than 20 years, offering a wide range of hands on skills that are easily transferable into any workplace to really kick start your career.

Working as a Legal Intern with Cummins will require a naturally inquisitive mind and an ability to see the big picture. This 12 month Industry Based Learning Program will give you hands on legal experience within our business critical Asia Pacific Legal team.

Based in our Corporate Box Hill office, day to day responsibilities will provide exposure to:

  • Research

  • Contracts database / file management

  • Draft correspondence and documents

  • Litigation support & correspondence

  • Project work

As an Asia Pacific shared service, Cummins’ Legal team support the business across Commercial, Litigation, Property, Employment and OHS&E law.

We are looking for talented and motivated Bachelor level candidates with a good academic history in their penultimate study year. At a personal level, you will have well developed communication skills, a mature and professional approach to your work, an ability to work effectively in a team environment and a desire to learn and grow.
