This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN for an ADI Calibration & Diag Technical Specialist. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.

Applies specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices across various areas and projects in one or more of the following areas: combustion/performance/emissions, cool/lube/fuel systems, air handling, system integration, after treatment integration, after treatment integration, cycle simulation, vehicle system simulation, combustion system simulation, flow simulation, filtration, or after treatment simulation.
Applies technical expertise on complex components or projects and works under minimal supervision.
Leads small projects or portions of large projects.
Provides technical direction for a project or a project team.
Participates as a key contributor and is accountable for project success.
Influences at department or program management level.
Provides input on program-related decisions.
Proposes innovative initiatives and projects.
Demonstrates depth of knowledge of engineering discipline(s) and leverages expertise on other projects.
Troubleshoots complex problems and recommends appropriate actions.
Assists with the transfer of knowledge; coaches and mentors less experienced engineers.
Skills and Experience Required:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required, such as responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a project.
Primary responsibilities include the use technical engineering methods to develop and ensure robust and competitive performance on current and advanced Ammonia Delivery System (ADS) used on all Cummins Products Globally, this includes:
Technical ownership and tuning of On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) and performance integration of DEF Dosers/ Lines/ Tanks across multiple globally used product lines (On-Hwy & Off Hwy).
Provide improvements to engineering methods.
Interface with Customers/OEMs to investigate product issues.
Analyze and correlate data, recognizing discrepancies in the results. Use data to derive solutions or conclusion to discrepancies.
Design review performance status vs. profile with key customers.
Document results in technical reports
Troubleshoot performance problems independently and serve in a group/team leader capacity on select projects.
Be able/willing to travel international to provide training to regional teams and/or support global projects
Use test tools and improve existing test tools.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
