The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where new processes and techniques must be created, is able to work across multiple functions and organizations, while delivering within defined timelines and milestones, and exhibits strong written and verbal skills.

Typical Tasks:

  • Update internal database with all parameter and component definition information

  • Provide calibration and tuning guidance to internal Customers (Application teams) to ensure proper operation as well as performance which meets Tech Profile targets

  • Write or modify Component-level simulation test procedures (including feature bench tests and vehicle performance tests)

  • Run test procedures at the component and system level to gauge algorithm robustness

  • Run vehicle and engine performance tests (as needed)

  • Develop and use performance analysis tools and techniques to continuously improve Controls Systems feature performance and Team productivity (MatLab, Excel, Diadem, Visual Basic, scripting, etc)

  • Troubleshoot and fix issues that arise from bench testing, test cells, truck tests, field test, owners, etc. Some of this work may involve travel to the site of the problem
