Responsible for assisting with the planning, design, purchase and implementation of integrated manufacturing and assembly processes within the plant.
Working under the guidance of the Engineering support teams, the placement holder will be required to lead improvement activities involved with the assembly process utilising Kaizen and Six Sigma techniques, with a specific focus on tooling improvements. The role will use and manage production databases to provide reports on key performance indicators. The role will also support work activities driven by quality concerns and customer feedback.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office. It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have a working knowledge of Minitab, or another statistical package.
Ability to assimilate data to deliver clear and concise presentations.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
at least 2nd year of a Mechanical, Automotive or Manufacturing Engineering
All training relevant to the job role shall be provided. Training is aimed at improving and extending the placement holders skills and knowledge in the work environment. Training will include practical engine familiarisation with additional courses that will focus on building confidence, increasing communication and negotiation skills, improving time management and creating team dynamics.
