This is an exciting opportunity in Darlington for a Product Validation Engineer.

Darlington Engine Plant is where you can work on exciting projects such as world leading diesel engine technology modifications and improvements supplying global markets with advanced products, for a variety of applications.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Working as part of a functional team, applying basic and specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices across various areas and projects

  • Creating design specifications and carrying out design activity considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service.

  • Working with other engineering and cross-functional disciplines to resolve product issues using problem solving methods such as FTA, 7 Step, 5 ‘Why’s etc.

  • The role responsibilities span across the product life cycle from concept design to full product validation and verification.

Qualifications

Skillsand Experience Required:

  • Experience with Technical Documentation

  • Knowledge of Product Structure to demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying product structure rules such as item compatibility, dependencies and relationships.

  • Experience and understanding of Intellectual Property & Engineering Standards

  • Ability to demonstrate effective schedule management for multiple, complex projects

  • A good understanding of engine design fundamentals, validation and verification.

  • Exposure to the Cross-Functional Design Review process

  • Able to communicate technical information to associated functions

Education,Licenses, Certifications

  • Associated STEM Degree required

Salary ££31771 - £38830 per annum (dependent on experience)
