This is anexciting opportunity in Darlington, County Durham UK for a ProductCertification & Compliance Engineer.

Cummins UK is where you can work on industry leading projects such as supporting the other regional teams that adopt European regulations with information and guidance on the background, detail and how to implement those regulations. This involves regular, frequent and in-depth collaborative communication with colleagues in those other regions.

The group formally known as Product Environmental Management (PEM) is now called Product Certification & Compliance (PC&C). Overall thegroup is responsible for communicating, monitoring and ensuring compliance withregulatory deliverables whilst taking business considerations into account.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Covering primarily the certification and compliance aspects of the group’s responsibilities, with some additional responsibilities including trade association interactions and regulatory affairs activities.

  • Working with internal stakeholders to identify Cummins preferences for future productregulations , guiding and impacting those regulations by interactions with external stakeholders and communicating the deliverables internally.

  • Integrating closely with new and current product engineering teams to ensure emissions regulation deliverables are understood, met, certification documents are obtained and emissions compliance considerations are integrated into engineering activities.

  • Developing and maintaining relationship with government certification agencies to ensure a smooth and efficient certification process.

  • Collaborating with the business to identify innovative ways to ensure emissionscompliance is achieved and maintained through the product’s lifetime.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Significant level of relevant work experience required:

  • Specifically you should have experience within a related area of engine or vehicle certification, Engine Aftertreatment systems or possess a broad experience of Engine Testing and Certification.

  • You should also ideally display the competencies to manage a small team and work effectively with a broad range of external and internal stakeholders.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Ideally you will have a Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or related STEM degree

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £36,500 - £44,660 (dependent upon experience & qualifications)
