This is an exciting opportunity in Daventry for a Product Design Engineer.

Cummins UK is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as, designing new cylinder heads for large engines. This will also involve and give the successful candidate exposure to validating and testing subsystems on large engines.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Apply your engineering knowledge and best practices to assigned tasks in the design team.

  • Designing subsystem parts (Cylinders, valves etc). Both new and existing parts for a variety of customers.

  • Working on 2-4 projects at any one time,

  • Evaluate customers’ needs and align requirements, ensuring the customer expectations are met.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent 3D Mechanical Design experience (Creo experience would be advantageous)

  • Have understanding of engineering principles and techniques regarding manufacturing design and assembly.

  • Experience leading small projects and working as part of team.

  • Experience working on New Product Development

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Mechanical Degree

  • Any CAD/CAM certificates would be an advantage
