Cummins Inc. Assembler-2nd Shift in De Pere, Wisconsin
The Assembler performs a series of mechanical and electrical assembly operations, manually or using a variety of hand and air power tools, to assemble and possibly test Generator Sets, Fire Pump Drivers, and Custom product by correctly reading engineering prints and process documentation. Monday-Friday
Completes tasks / job on time and to established rates.
Produces quality work by following defined departmental procedures and/or process documentation.
Follows assembly procedures to determine correct parts and proper assembly methods.
Follows and understands engineering prints, assembly job aids, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Inspects quality of own work during assembly to produce a quality product and takes appropriate corrective action when quality defects are identified.
Completes the required paperwork to track inventory, check quality, and record completion of assembled unit.
Participates in the identification of ways in which to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
Follows all workplace safety and environmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates safety awareness by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), keeping work area safe and clean using 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), completing annual safety training, and reporting any risks or hazards
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Requires ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds often, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds on occasion using proper lifting tools/techniques.
⦁ Tasks will require bending, stretching, standing, twisting, climbing up and down on equipment throughout the work shift
⦁ Requires work 10 to 15 feet above ground
⦁ Tasks require strong hand-eye coordination
⦁ Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment
⦁ Work environment requires Assembler to wear identified PPE at all times
