If you are driven to be part of a motivated team, wehave an immediate opening for a General Manager, Field Operations based out ofour Edmonton, Alberta facility. Reporting to the Edmonton Regional GM, thisposition will operate as the site leader, managing daily field serviceactivities to our customers. This role will also manage and grow theCentralized model for field service supporting the Alberta branches. Additionalduties are described below.

  • Workwith the Alberta Service Managers, assisting them, as we create a true centreof excellence, to deliver results to our customers and CMI
  • Providingmotivation, guidance, coaching, leadership and support to all Field Serviceemployees
  • Ensuringa safe work environment by adhering to the CWC Health, Safety and EnvironmentalPolicy and fully engaging employees in related initiatives; taking on a leadrole for HSE at the branch level
  • Leadingin the creation of an environment that fosters excellence in customer loyalty
  • Achievingtargeted operating results in alignment with CWC strategy, underpinned by astrong understanding of business trends, along with the ability to adapt toshifting trends
  • Supportinginitiatives within the respective regions of the branches to optimize resourcesand improve efficiencies.
  • Engagingwith the regional leaders to assess market growth opportunities, and key salesand customer support initiatives
  • Activelysupporting Customer Service Excellence (CSE)
  • Ensuringthat in all material respects, the field service operations are in compliancewith CWC and CMI internal policies, standards and systems of internal control

* Position Requirements: *

  • Minimum5 years of leadership experience
  • Technicalcertification or business degree is an asset
  • Experiencein a service environment with strong focus on customer support along with thecapacity to sell and negotiate
  • Solidcommunication and inter-personal skills
  • Experienceworking in a unionized environment
  • Abilityto manage business processes and develop improvement initiatives
  • Abilityto deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy (customer andemployee related)
  • Aptitudeto develop product knowledge
  • Goodlevel of competency in financial analysis, business planning and budgeting
  • Scheduling
  • Otherduties, as assigned
