Responsible for supporting specific marketing strategic and planning initiatives and tactics within a region, market, customer, or product segment.

Manages market strategy research and planning in support of the strategic planning process.

Conducts basic external and internal operation analysis identifying strategic opportunities, challenges, risk, threats, etc.

Updates market summary dash boards employing relevant market data.

Leverages competitive research and market analysis for assigned market or region to make recommendations.

Communicates and presents critical data, report summaries, market analyses, and strategic recommendations to management.

Works with product managers to support product life cycle, product line business plans, and cost reduction programs.

Provides input to support product line pricing and promotional strategy.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Skills

Market Analysis - Able to deploy local processes to attain the most critical market information required to develop a specific product/product line plan.

Financial Understanding - Ability to analyze data and perform basic calculations such as Gross Margin, NPV, discounting analysis, price elasticity, and breakeven. Able to formulate a business case to support an idea. Familiar with SOx regulations.

Core Competency & Capability Analysis - Has experience assessing markets against Cummins capabilities and can evaluate gap analysis and quickly turn into recommended actions.

Market Opportunity Prioritization - Understands strategy process, can assess projects against strategic relevance to business and works with stakeholders effectively to align work.

Market Positioning - Understands market positioning tools and can apply them.

Facilitating Internal Relationships & Consensus - Understands tools & techniques for group facilitation and has exercised for small groups.

College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, business administration, economics or a related subject required.

Maintain integrity of the Demand review process for LAO Region and take corrective actions promptly to ensure stable forecasting in both Volumes and finance result. Escalate as appropriate.Use knowledge of Business / Customers / Markets/ Products to efficiently challenge Demand Plan assumptions to improve the quality and robustness of the demand plan.Drive assumption management in demand planning. Works with product managers to manage product life cycle, product line business plans, and cost reduction programs that affects both financial and volumes projections. Track the execution of initiatives and projects.Manage consolidated sales projections for volumes and financial implications in both the monthly demand planning process and to deliver to Strategic Planning Process while working cross-functionally to support the annual operating planning process.Assist in the development of the business strategy and business plans.Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.Design and develop the monthly pack for the Global Demand Review and ensure it is compelling and effective in focusing on key issues and delivering robust proposals. Develops and updates Demand summary dash boards employing relevant analysis data for Sales, Finance and Marketing teamsMaintain Demand Review process integrity and drive continuous improvement to achieve capability within the process.Promote the links to Demand, Product and Supply Chain teams, enabling discussions and sharing of information.Deploy the Demand Review Process on behalf of the Business Leader, ensuring SBP is the primary process for managing the business.

Experience

More than 5 years of relevant work experience required.
