This is an exciting opportunity in Huddersfield for an Aerodynamics Technical Specialist

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Applies specialised knowledge of engineering principles and practices in turbocharger design and development.

  • Applies technical expertise in turbocharger turbines or projects and works under minimal supervision.

  • Leads small projects and portions of large projects.

  • Provides technical direction for a project or a project team.

  • Participates as a key contributor and is accountable for project success.

  • Influences at department or program management level.

  • Develops new practices as a result of new insight and understanding.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Fundamentals of thermal and fluid sciences Specialised knowledge in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and aerodynamics

  • Strong turbo machinery and/or turbocharged system experience.

  • Technical leadership skills

  • Communication and teamwork skills

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required, such as responsibility for several components of a project

  • Proficiency in the ANSYS-CFX suite of design and analysis tools or equivalent is desirable.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • PhD, Masters of Science, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent technical degree required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary 39,308-48 (dependent of experience)

26 days holiday

4% VC Bonus
