We are looking for a talented 3rdShift Machining Team Managerto join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engineer Business Segment in Jamestown, New York.

  • Manages, develops, and leads the daily activities of multiple production teams.

  • Responsible for the daily activities of multiple production teams including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.

  • Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

  • Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.

  • Coaches and mentors team members.

  • Identifies training needs; develops and implements training plans.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience required.

  • Has good understanding of machining processes and uses it to actively participate to improve flow of the line and increase efficiency.

  • Is able to make decisions with minimal supervision being on 3rd shift.

  • Develop excellent relationships with all production teams and support teams in the plant to be able to move resources where the need is most based on different situations and down machines.

  • Communicates effectively with team managers of all shifts and maintains a professional and healthy relationship that helps the machining team achieve its goals.

  • Maintain the teams scorecard for KPIs (Key Performance Metrics) for responsible teams. Establish action items for unfavorable items and drives the action to completion. Actively collaborates with fellow team managers and/or Engineers to implement actions.

  • Manages the head count of the teams on 3rd shift. Runs a hiring process for selection of the ideal candidate.

  • 3rd shift Supervisor hours range from 9pm-6:30 am EST.

  • Weekend availability as needed with business demands.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $74,800.00-$112,200.00. Rate will commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
