We are seeking a Business Manager – Off Highway to be based in the Mackay region to assist in maintaining and expanding the scope of commercial relationships with Cummins Filtration customers throughout the Queensland and Bowen Basin region. Reporting to the Off-Highway Market Segment Manager, you will play an integral role in achieving sales growth whilst engaging in Account Management with regards to dealers, distributors and independent customers.

As the focal point of contact for our customers within the region, you will be required to travel frequently and to play a hands on role in servicing and fostering relationships with stakeholders. Broadly, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing a portfolio of dealers anddistributors

  • Assistin developing a structure for distribution in your respective market

  • Implementstrategies to achieve sales plans

  • Focuson expansion of business to existing distributors/customers

  • Utilizecurrent distribution channels in the course of developing new business

  • Reviewcustomer complaints, product returns and general queries

  • Promoteproducts/ services amongst distribution partners and customers

  • Manageinteraction with distribution partners and customers

  • Providecustomers with technical support and ensure customer information is up to dateand accurate

  • Reporton current market trends including opportunities for market expansion (newchannels) and competitor activity/market intelligence

  • Undertake activities to ensurecompliance of Cummins OH&S policies and procedures

In order to be considered for this exceptional opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate a track record of building rapport and credibility with internal and external stakeholders which has cultivated collaborative business relationships. Therefore you must have exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to be influential and resilient to achieve sales targets. As the Business Manager you will be required to work autonomously, time management is essential as well as the ability to multitask and think analytically.

You must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have attention to detail to ensure documentation is accurate and records are adequately maintained. Knowledge of Filtration products and technologies is also highly desirable.
