Fleetguard FIT (Filtration Intelligence Technologies, also known as Smart Filtration) is a growing business of Cummins Filtration with industry leading technologies. It is a smart filtration solution that provides real-time filtration system monitoring and related services, through intelligent sensing and cloud based data analytics. Fleetguard FIT revolutionizes maintenance practices of commercial vehicles and applications with IoT technologies, providing visibility to filter life, synchronized/extended service intervals, reduced downtime and maintenance cost.

The business leader, a director level general manager, will lead a dedicated multiple-function team to accelerate the commercialization of Fleetguard FIT – identify market opportunity and business model, develop customers, define product roadmaps, and build capabilities

  • Owns profit and loss. Grows the business profitably.

  • Develops long-term business strategy based on the strategic goals set by business unit leadership, and translates strategy into actionable short-term priorities for the organization.

  • Manages multiple functions including Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.

  • Oversees the research and identification of markets and customers; priorities opportunities

  • Directs product planning and product development for Fleetguard FIT

  • Builds internal and external partnerships for capabilities and path to market

  • Develops, leads, and motivates Managers; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning; develops high-functioning teams.

  • Anticipates, recognizes, facilitates and coordinates the resolution of cross-functional challenges that may impact organizational success.

  • Fosters the development of new methods, processes, and procedures; resolves highly complex issues.

  • Develops and manages budget, financial controls, and risk ensuring operations are executed efficiently and within established budgets.


Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Business or related field required. Advanced degree in Business or related field preferred.


Significant experience required, including managerial, product, customer, and budgetary experience.

Experience in the field of Telematics, Internet of Things (IoT), big data and analytics, with knowledge of industry trends, value chain and business models

Preferable trucking or mining industry experience, specifically on maintenance practices

Additional Responsibilities

Directs the development of the product plan for a Fleetguard FIT within the business unit.

Oversees the research and identification of markets and customers to ensure the successful introduction of Fleetguard FIT.

Leads all stages of product planning and development among different functions.

Fosters the development of new methods, processes, and procedures; resolves highly complex issues.

Develops and manages budget, financial controls, and risk ensuring operations are executed efficiently and within established budgets.

Owns total consolidated product road map and optimizes product plans.

Leads effort to manage product lifecycle, pre-charters and project lists as appropriate

  • Experience in the field of Telematics and/or Internet of Things (IoT), with knowledge of industry trends, value chain and business models

Compensation and Benefits

Base annual salary commensurate with experience plus annual variable compensation.
