The Role:

Cummins Newcastle would like to hear from qualified Mechanical/Heavy Diesel Technicians with post trade experience. Working as part of our tight knit and high performing Power Generation service team, this hybrid workshop/field service role will see the successful applicant be responsible for providing scheduled and breakdown maintenance of our High Horse Power engines, product trouble shooting (mechanical and computerised diagnosis) and technical customer support. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be involved in the frontline promotion of Cummins products and services whilst contributing to broader continuous improvement initiatives.

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • A Mechanic Trade Qualification with at least 2-3 years’ relevant industry experience, those with a Dual Trade (Mechanical/Electrical) will be highly regraded

  • Previous diagnostics experience (ideally software based)

  • The ability to work autonomously as well as contribute effectively as part of a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A clear commitment to providing ‘best in class’ customer service and working safely as part of our ‘zero harm’ culture

  • A current, valid driver’s license
