Applyspecialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices across variousareas in support of projects in the design, development, analysis and releaseof products and subsystems through the product life cycle.
Createdesign specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance,product life, manufacture, assembly and service.
Verifydesign using analysis and or functional testing, interpret results, drivedecisions and assess risk.
Workcross-functionally to design and deliver solutions and resolve product issues.
Evaluateuser needs and align product requirements with identified user expectations.Provide technical guidance on Design for Six Sigma (DFSS/DMAIC) projectsutilizing Six Sigma tools including Integrated Design Failure Mode and EffectsAnalysis (iDFMEA) for complex component, algorithm, control system, or othersystems.
Identifyrisk areas and develop corrective action plans necessary to mitigate risks.Lead cross-functional teams through the iDFMEA process.
Providetechnical guidance to teams in the development of Design for Manufacturing andAssembly (DFMA) methods.
Performconcept design and architecture utilizing Predictive Modeling Tools ANSYS,CREO, Advisor processes to follow through on the complete product lifecycle andensure that the design functions as intended in the customer’s installation.
PerformDVP&R (Design Verification Planning & Reporting) functional and fieldtesting, interpret results, assess risk, and recommend customer-focusedsolutions in order to resolve customer installation issues.
Identify,support and resolve customer issues utilizing 7 Step Problem Solving Method forengine product design.
ProvideAccelerated Life Testing and Performance Evaluation input for new productdevelopment.
Utilizeknowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to create andreview drawings in CAD before release.
Experience and Education:
- Positionsrequire a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or IndustrialEngineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Design, Support orApplication Engineer, or related position.
Experience to include:
IntegratedDesign Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (iDFMEA) and Design for Manufacturingand Assembly (DFMA) methods
Designfor Six Sigma tools (DFSS/DMAIC)
PredictiveModeling Tools: ANSYS, CREO, Advisor

Compensation. Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
