Key Responsibilities:

  • Supportscomplex projects in identification and understanding of client requirements todevelop technical specifications.

  • Utilizesspecialized mechanical knowledge of engineering principles and practices toimplement designs and deliver high performance, low-cost equipment and systemresults integrated with customer products.

  • Interfaceswith sales, manufacturing, and marketing teams to design and deliver clientsolutions.

  • Developsand delivers training on client applications, and applies technical expertiseon complex components or projects with minimal supervision.

  • PerformsInstallation Quality Assurance Audits (IQA) on subcomponents in applicationsthat require using existing tools and processes.

  • Verifiesthat all subcomponents work accurately, safely, and as designed, and conductssubsystem design reviews with OEM engineers.

  • Installsengine systems and uses tools to determine system inadequacies andopportunities for optimization.

  • Evaluatessystem interaction and overall effect of various components including Fan Shroud,Recirculation Baffles, Engine Compartment Air Flow, and Cold Weather Devices.

  • Appliesregional knowledge to understand altitude and ambient temperature effects oncooling performance.

  • Establishesspecifications for OEM customer electronic devices required to meet applicationrequirements including sensors, switches, and relays. Performs system testingto troubleshoot installation with multiple OEM or customer electronic devicesusing industry standard J1939 and multiplexing.

  • UtilizeAutoCAD modeling tools to develop designs that meet technical and functionalrequirements.

Experience and Education:


  • Positionsrequire a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Product or Automotive Engineering, orrelated field and 2 years of experience as a Mechanical or Application Engineeror related position.

  • Alternatively,the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Product orAutomotive Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as aMechanical or Application Engineer or related position.

  • DeliverHigh Performance, Low-Cost Equipment and System Results Integrated withCustomer Products

  • InstallationQuality Assurance Audits (IQA)

  • SubsystemDesign Reviews

  • InstallsEngine Systems

  • FanShroud, Recirculation Baffles, Engine Compartment Air Flow, and Cold WeatherDevices

  • SystemTesting

  • AutoCAD

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm
