This is an exciting opportunity in Singapore for a Customer Communications Analyst. Cummins Global Logistics Singapore where Customer Communications Analyst will act as the liaison between customer support, Operations and Materials team, expediting for urgent customer orders and inquiries, inventory management and replenishment processes for a selected product portfolio

Thinking beyond your desk includes:

  • Interface and proactively work together with other functions – Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Marketing to help meet common business objectives:

  • Point of contact for external customer related inquiries on ETAs, lead times, parts availability issues

  • Responsible for leading regular updates/communications for key accounts and for customer/marketing inquiries on order status (such as but not limited to SRT, PTA, IPDC)

  • Manages internal and external accounts, responsible for replenishment proposals and expedites

  • Review and manage demand spikes working together with Customer Service to ensure material availability and customer order fulfilment

  • KPI contact point for pod-related inquiries from weekly planner reviews on issues related to customer orders. Will also be contact point for demand/forecasting related inquiries for customer orders on critical parts for pods.

  • Responsible for customer and planner inquiries from other inter business units

  • Internal Business Units liaison for critical parts review on top BO$ reduction, supplier past due reduction and premium order follow up

  • Review and expedite in a timely manner past due purchase orders to other inter business units to ensure material availability for critical parts

  • Plan proactively for any projected stock outs/stock out warnings

  • Resolve any blocked invoice discrepancies from suppliers /other inter business units’ due to price and/ or quantity differences

  • Follow up and resolve discrepancies between actual goods receipt and Advanced Shipping Notifications

  • Manage external/internal shipment discrepancy claims

  • Manage customer annual return in each quarter with solid working relationship with operation, transportation, quality and marketing

  • Manage customer enquiry & request for annual return related issue

  • Monitor and expedite return process from end customer to upon return fully inspected and received into system with credit note issue

  • Extract and review monthly report to management and customer

  • Responsible for day-to-day planning and expediting process, KPI management for inter business units’ planned parts and selected product portfolio.


Education/Qualification requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement is a Diploma and preferred Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Science or similar major).

  • Solid prioritization and time management skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Solid team player / demonstrated capability to work in a highly cross-functional and global environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications is required

  • Experience with at least one ERP system on the following key modules/ processes: Materials Management/ Purchasing , Planning/ Replenishment and Accounts Payables

  • Work closely with all internal departments (Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, and Finance) to drive process improvement and ensure we hit our key materials performance metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop the work and perform in a global environment

Most Critical Skills:

  • Demonstrated skill in time management & prioritization

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (excel_data population)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under high pressure.

Compensation and Benefits
