This is an exciting opportunity in Stockton for a SOx and Accounts Assistant.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Responsible for assisting in the execution of financial and operational audits.
Reviews financial and operating procedures to determine whether or not internal controls are being properly applied.
Executes internal financial and/or system audits and risk assessments within established business process controls.
Tests and documents financial and computer system records for information system integrity and transaction accuracy.
Assists in the preparation of less complex audit plans.
Prepares routine, formal written reports to communicate audit results to management, and makes recommendations as appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
Provide clear communication of expectations around Compliance to stakeholders across all parts of CBSE (Finance, Payroll, Benefits etc). Prepare and support the annual SOx and External Audits plus any Internal Audits as required.
Performs walkthroughs and baseline testing of all CBSE controls, maintain SLA's.
Review and drive improvements to Supplier Bank Maintenance process. Maintain and improve balance sheet reconciliation quality and ensure they are completed to deadlines.
Work with the CBS Global Compliance Team to implement global best practices and provide training to the CBSE Teams.
Be responsible for any other Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Time to be evenly split between SOx and supporting PFR/Finance processes and projects.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering or related field required
Compensation and Benefits
Salary £28,800 - £35,200 (dependent on experience)
8% Variable Bonus (dependent on company performance)
25 8 statutory holiday
