POSITION: Accounting Clerk

REPORTING TO: Hakim Nour Elyakine, Accounting Manager

LOCATION: To be determined

FUNCTION: performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department.

DUTIES:

  • Analyzing general ledger accounts

  • Reviewing, correcting and following up on warranty claims as required

  • Bank reconciliations as required

  • Wire payments preparation

  • Reviewing and recording Visa expenses as required

  • Preparing statistics Canada reports, sales tax filing, vehicle registration, IRP, CVOR

  • Fleetguard rebates calculation

  • Completing month end and year end according to Accounting schedule

  • Assisting internal customers

  • Other duties as required

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in an Accounting related program

  • Three to five years of accounting experience

  • Ability to read and interpret financial reports

  • Strong computer aptitude; experience with Microsoft Office

  • Bilingual (French/English) as required

  • Experience with ERP type software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, work under pressure

  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills

  • Self-starter, demonstrated energy and enthusiasm

  • Flexibility in hours
