We are looking for a talented Prototype Technician to join our team for our location in Bloomfield, CT.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs.

  • Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment.

  • Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others.

  • Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

  • Create manufacturing processes, tool selections with required tool list from blue prints/CAD model

  • Determine tooling/gaging requirements to manufacture parts in the most efficient manner which includes using existing tooling, purchasing new tooling, or developing tooling with or without assistance from tooling engineers as required.

  • Responsible for creating machine programs with the use of CAD and Mastercam software on 3 and 5th axis machining centers.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

  • Ability to create manufacturing processes, tool selections with required tool list from blue prints/CAD model.

  • Required skill to machine from rough billet stock to finished part.

  • Required to have extensive Mastercam experience with strong CAD background.

  • Must be able to work independently to create programs.

  • Must have high machining and fixturing knowledge with hands on ability to create and perform job and tooling setups.

  • Ability to work 1st Shift: M - F, 7 AM - 3 PM

  • Pay based on experience level

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
