We are looking for a talented Prototype Technician to join our team for our location in Bloomfield, CT.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs.
Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment.
Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others.
Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.
Create manufacturing processes, tool selections with required tool list from blue prints/CAD model
Determine tooling/gaging requirements to manufacture parts in the most efficient manner which includes using existing tooling, purchasing new tooling, or developing tooling with or without assistance from tooling engineers as required.
Responsible for creating machine programs with the use of CAD and Mastercam software on 3 and 5th axis machining centers.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
Ability to create manufacturing processes, tool selections with required tool list from blue prints/CAD model.
Required skill to machine from rough billet stock to finished part.
Required to have extensive Mastercam experience with strong CAD background.
Must be able to work independently to create programs.
Must have high machining and fixturing knowledge with hands on ability to create and perform job and tooling setups.
Ability to work 1st Shift: M - F, 7 AM - 3 PM
Pay based on experience level
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
