About the role

Reporting to the Cummins Used Branch Manager, you will be based in our busy Campbellfield workshop, working with our experience technician staff to remanufacture and or strip 2.8L to 78L diesel engines. You’ll also;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manager and prioritise the operational workflow for Cummins Used Engines and Parts

  • Allocate work & help supervise work orders

  • Make sure technician staff have the correct 2ndhand parts and help drive productivity

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and remanufacture engine sub-components

  • Carry out regular quality inspections on parts and engines (engine rebuilds)

  • Work closely with your direct team and other Cummins rebuild centres

  • Build great working relationships customers, suppliers and contractors

  • Keep all paperwork ship shape

  • Do every task safely, every day

The successful applicants will work full time and have the opportunity to complete limited overtime hours. And will be participating with annual stock takes

About you

  • Relevant trade qualification (Light Automotive or Heavy Diesel)

  • Previous exposure to Cummins diesel engines is highly advantageous

  • Engine rebuild experience is required

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously

  • Ability to learn, adapt and with great communication skills

  • Strong IT capabilities

  • A ‘do things right the first time’ attitude following systems/procedures

  • Forklift licence
