This is an exciting opportunity in Chesapeake, VA for a Service Supervisor.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Supervises small groups ofemployees who install, service, and repair equipment and machinery.
Supervises small groups ofService Technicians; coordinates and schedules Technician work schedules;communicates repair plans to Technicians aligned with customer quotes;monitors Technician productivity and repair quality.
Provides coaching andfeedback to individual Service Technicians; provides performance reviewsand opportunities for professional growth.
Provides some first level ofsupport to Service Technicians requiring assistance; escalates technicalsupport needs for resolution when needed.
Assists with service logisticsincluding use of materials, equipment, and employees ensuring safety,quality, and efficient operations.
Assist with reviewing quotesfor accuracy prior to communication to customers; provides updates onrepair status and any plan or schedule changes.
Monitors the status of openrepairs with workshop technicians; addresses issues that impact completionof the repair plan in the time quoted to customers.
Skills and ExperienceRequired:
Channel Repair Process -QuickServe - Able to lead others in executing the QuickServe process.Demonstrate improvements using the QuickServe Customer Meter/Net PromoterScore data. Able to identify correlation between key service performanceindicators and QuickServe Customer Meter to determine how well the processis being executed.
Service Cross FunctionalKnowledge - Basic understanding of the service processes, both retail andservice support. Experience with the tools of service such as diagnosticprocedures, technical support, and reliability improvement. User shouldhave experience in field investigation of product failure. User shouldunderstand diagnostic procedures and how our product is serviced in thefield.
Communication - Written andVerbal - Is able to effectively and clearly communicate in both writtenand verbal means.
Analyze Issues - Someknowledge or awareness of how to analyze issues. Demonstrates basicanalysis of issues and some application of logic and problem solvingskills. Identifies the connection between different issues and problems.
Manage Execution - Someknowledge or awareness about how to manage execution. Limited evidence ofstructured approaches to managing execution.
Claims Management System -Awareness of the Claims Management Systems. Also has some knowledge ofCummins products and their respective warranty coverage's. Familiarizationwith the Warranty Administration Manual, campaigns, Temporary RepairPractices, and warranty alerts.
Focus on Customer Needs -Basic understanding of customers.
RequiredEducation, Licenses or Certifications
Technical trade schooldegree or equivalent education, or equivalent experience required.
Bachelor’s degree ispreferred
- Intermediate level(3 years’) of relevant experience required, including managerial / supervisoryexperience.
Base Salary commensurate with experience.
