This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN for a Calibration Management Team Leader. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.
Manage Execution - Demonstrated results indicating deep knowledge of managing execution. Coordinates performance across regions, teams, and departments on complex projects and work flows. Applies a broad range of planning and monitoring tools. Defines planning and review practices that result in few missed milestones and minimal surprises. Effectively delegates to ensure completion of complex projects and work. Monitors progress of others and redirects efforts when goals change or are not met. Measures effectiveness of execution through defined metrics and disciplined monitoring.
Lead a calibration release team and ensure calibration releases are high quality and delivered on time
Meet regularly with product teams to drive alignment on calibration release processes across all Cummins businesses
Lead and sponsor calibration development and release improvements projects
Ensure development of global calibration release capability in support of global engineering footprint plans
Lead the common process and rules development for the next generation calibration tools
Lead the design of future calibration release structure
Understanding of product configuration management and release systems
Strong Leadership and Management Skills
Ability to lead and manage projects to ensure on time delivery
Strong problem solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
Experience with commercially available calibration data management tools (such as Vector CDM, AVL Creta or others) is highly desirable
Knowledge of ASAM MCD Standards is also highly desirable
Knowledge of automotive embedded systems is highly desirable
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 7 years of experience
Compensation and Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
