CES Doser Lab Manager
Description
This primarily shop or office personnel management position acts as a group leader for projects and work assignments mainly in one of the following environments: Laboratory, Drafting/Product Configuration, Functional Excellence, or Engineering IT. Directly manages resources that deliver data and/or information to stakeholders both within and across business functions. The position involves maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders primarily within the technical community, but may also span into other business functions.
Leads a small technical group of supervisors and/or technicians, allocates appropriate resources to meet customer needs and provides feedback to project team members in accomplishing tasks and goals.
Works primarily with internal customers to understand their needed support requirements and engages collaboratively to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
Applies sound knowledge of engineering principles and manages teams on the specification, design and maintenance of the work environment in support of customer needs
Provides independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems or services with greater elements of ambiguity over an entry level engineer and with full accountability to the project team.
Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.
Coordinates and directs work amongst technicians and temporary student employees, assists in the transfer of knowledge to lesser experienced engineers through either indirect (scope of influence) or direct management of a small, local group of engineers.
Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
Operates as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
Demonstrated aptitude is required. A college, university, or equivalent associate's degree or certification in an Engineering Technology area is
required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Prior IATF 16949 experience a plus but not required
