Director - Advanced Chemical Systems & Integration
We are looking for a talented Director Advanced Chemical Systems and Integration to join our team specializing in advance technology for our Research and Technology (R&T) business unit based in Columbus, IN
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Supervise all the work in the R&T Advanced Technologies team that is related to catalysts, sensors, and supporting technologies, with the emphasis on real-world product durability and emission compliance.
Planning, alignment, and accountable reporting to all global Business Units (BU) customers, as well as ensuring adequate funding and resources via Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and external funding.
Responsible for the catalyst and sensor laboratory testing, system level evaluation in the test cell and vehicle environment, and mathematical modeling.
Responsible for cross-functional support, via laboratory and modeling functions, to adjacent technology areas in the Advanced Technologies team.
Coaches and mentors the future technical leaders across R&T Advanced Technologies team.
Act as a representative to the key R&T and BU stakeholders, to the internal compliance partners, and to the interactions with external regulatory and funding agencies.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Advanced degree (Master/ PhD) in Engineering.
Minimum ten years of experience in a similar role, with emphasis on testing catalysts and sensors, emission compliance, test cell testing and evaluation, and mathematical modelling.
Prior experience in managing a research and development team.
Hands on experience with diesel emission control testing in an industrial laboratory or test cell environment.
Nuance understanding of environmental compliance practice and regulations
Strong proven ability to interact with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
