Engine Laboratory Group Leader
Description
We are looking for a talented Group Leader to join our team specializing in Emissions Laboratory for our Engine Business Unit in Columbus, IN.
This laboratory test-focused position designs or specifies test systems that allow the operation of Cummins’ products in a laboratory environment for engineering evaluation to optimize our product designs. This position also involves the specification, design, implementation, validation, and support of test systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Building Technical Capability and Capacities of our Emissions Equipment Fleet
Creating a culture of quality assurance in our Emissions Equipment Fleet
Improving Productivity of our internal customer’s testing needs
Creating a healthy working environment among departmental team members
Deliver Finance Results
Develop Emissions Measurement Functional Excellence Practices
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
Minimum of 3 years of experience, related to engine emissions preferred.
Laboratory Engine dyno testing background preferred.
Experience with electronics, instrumentation, or analyzers preferred.
Familiarity with US EPA 40CFR1065 testing procedures or other countries’ regulations engine emissions testing procedure preferred.
Managerial experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
