Environmental Data Manager
We are looking for a talented Environmental Data Manager to join our team specializing in environmental sustainability and compliance data analysis and reporting for our Corporate Environmental Center of Excellence team in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Serve as the key internal environmental resource, providing expertise in the Global Facilities and Operations Environmental (Energy, Greenhouse Gas (GHG), Water, Waste, Compliance and Pollution Prevention) data analysis and reporting to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Assists with the development of communications to ensure stakeholders are well informed on Environmental functional and discipline ideas and efforts.
Support PLANET 2050 strategy teams and cross functional teams on various data analysis needs to drive data-based decision making
Own and update the environmental (energy, water, waste) review and balance tools and other critical tools (ex: NPV model environmental calculations, environmental calculator)
Apply developing business process and project management skills within an area of business or technical specialty.
Manage projects of varying complexity and size. This position may provide exposure to multiple Cummins business units and sub-functions.
Lead and/or support rapidly expanding and evolving stakeholder environmental sustainability data requests
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in data science (or similar) with strong curriculum on environmental engineering, science, policy analysis or similar
Minimum 4 years of experience in Environmental and Compliance Data Management with Data Analysis and Statistical Modeling required
Experience with external reporting protocols / methodologies including GHG Protocol, US Department of Energy, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
Experience reporting to CDP (Climate Change, Water), Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSi), US Department of Energy (DoE), corporate sustainability report
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
