This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Senior Financial Analyst – Envisions Cummins.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Responsible for the preparation of complex and interpretive financial analyses and reports.
Supports the annual budget process, expense and/or staffing forecasts and statistical reporting.
Prepares complex financial analyses and reports for department management.
Prepares analyses, reports, and special studies for management.
Works with assigned organizational unit(s) to develop annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and statistical reporting.
Prepares statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.
Coaches less-experienced Financial Analysts.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
Lead the development of the new Hyperion Essbase forecast tool within Envision Cummins in conjunction with the Corporate Finance Systems team.
Work closely Global Capability Leaders and forecasters on special improvement projects impacting all of Envision Cummins to drive consistency, streamline, and automate processes as necessary.
Special projects may include: New reporting capabilities, allocation models, training for non-Finance forecasters, enhancements to current reporting packages, etc.
Manage the planning, forecasting and reporting processes (month-end close, monthly forecast, 5-year Simulation and Annual Operating Plan) for assigned groups and ensure internal controls are followed
Manage software assets and capital reporting, including amortization schedules, capitalization and internal cost requests.
Provide oversight and approval for those items prepared by other Financial Analysts.
Review and approve Ariba purchase requisitions and asset requests. Complete monthly journal entries and reconciliations, as required.
Prepare consolidated information required for the quarterly presentations to Senior Leadership.
Provide guidance and oversight to less-experienced Financial Analysts.
Good oral and written communication skills. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase preferred.
