We are looking for a talented GPL IT Solution Analyst – Senior to join our team specializing in Supply Chain for our Corporate/CBS Segment in our Columbus IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions; works with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications.
Analyzes and evaluates application functionality and provides recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities
Determines and documents optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications; configures and verifies application setup and configuration
Develops expertise in emerging application and solution trends and functionality; provides functional recommendations for assigned applications and systems.
Conducts analysis of potential application solutions, identifies and recommends solutions to address functionality gaps in the application.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with relevant vendors; works with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve functionality issues
Partners with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs.
Serves as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed).
Creates and manages functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Manages conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.
Experience Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. 3-5 years of experience.
Position can be located in either the US, UK, Mexico or Mainland-Europe
This is an exciting role that will allow you to shape the design of our IT planning solutions across Cummins for years to come.
Reporting to the IT Planning Leader, the candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering IT planning solutions that enable our First Fit sites into transformation journey.
Takes ownership for specific areas of the solutioning, handling the more complex requirements, driving the correct solutions, minimizing or avoiding customizations, but when that is not possible, always ensuring what is built works across globally and is never site specific.
Upon joining the team, the candidate will be part of the “Advance Planning Solutions Program”. This multi-year program is in partnership with Corporate Supply Chain Solutions, Corporate Planning function, Integrated Supply Planning function to deliver best in class planning solutions using the Blue Yonder Sequencer, Material Compliance, i2 Demand Manager and Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning.
The immediate focus is to upgrade Blue Yonder Sequencer application from On Premise to Cloud and Upgrade Material Compliance (MCC) application to improve current capabilities while moving these business mission critical applications to futuristic architecture.
Further exciting global initiatives that drive value across the business units manufacturing sites will see the candidate involved in include: Demand and Supply Planning SaaS Solutions, Blue Yonder Sequencer, multi-echelon inventory optimization, rough cut capacity planning and global inventory visibility.
Experience in Material Resource Planning, Inventory, Purchasing and Order Management is ideal. A working knowledge of bills of material, work in process and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is preferable.
Strong technical skills and experience in application functionality, set-up/ configurations, table level knowledge as well as SQL.
Demonstrate proven IT project and solution implementation experience that have been both technical and complex.
Demonstrate strong requirements gathering skills, capturing requirements in data flow diagrams through to use cases and the resultant test cases.
Communication skills both spoken and written must be strong as you will be engaging with fellow IT professionals, business partners and leaders.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Education, Licenses, Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
