This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for an IT Techno Functional Analyst – Senior. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

The candidate would be part of IT Enterprise PMO team and provides application technical expertise, analysis and specifications for Enterprise IT systems to meet business requirements in accordance with IT architecture policies and standards; translate requirements into technical specifications, create detailed solution design, coordinate construction, installation, configuration and testing of IT systems; and identifies, troubleshoots and resolves system technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead for CA PPM (Clarity Project & Portfolio Management Tool) deployment to Enterprise IT.

  • Responsible for meeting customer needs by configuring capabilities of the PPM tool using standards and best practices.

  • Be the subject matter expert for functionality, technical capability, and requirements analysis and how best to build the capabilities to achieve desired results for the short, medium and long term viability.

  • Work with IT EPMO leader and manage solution/application roadmap for PPM and other enterprise tools and align it to meet the Customers’ needs.

  • Work closely with the end users of the tools to capture their feedback and research/develop innovative approaches to improve upon the tools’ capabilities.

  • Partner with Business PMO and other stakeholders to research, capture, develop content for solution whereby the consumer can be educated and trained on maximizing use of solution.

  • Provide content input for the communication, publication, solution implementation, and training materials.

  • Liaison with the vendors when required to execute technical tasks.

  • Provide day to day operational support for PPM and other enterprise applications owned by IT EPMO.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

Skills

  • 3 years of experience with database technologies, SharePoint, Java programming

  • Knowledge of CA PPM configuration is a strong plus

  • Analysis, trouble shooting, testing, maintenance, enhancements, project technical lead.

  • Strong ability to see business and systems processes in multiple layers of detail from the most granular to zoomed out in the abstract. Able to move thinking and approach up and down the levels of abstraction based on the context of the discussion and the audience without having to be directed.

  • Communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders in the IT & Business function – tool end users, managers, senior leadership – able to explain and interpret business needs into technical specs and capability.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. 3-5 years of experience.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
