We are looking for a talented Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our team for our location in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable.

  • Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • May work independently and instruct or coach others.

  • Electrical maintenance technicians are responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis, repair and disassembly of a wide range of electrical plant and associated components.

  • Typical equipment includes robotic and automation cells that include (Single phase/three phase/Low Voltage, switch panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and circuit protection devices such as (Fuses, MCBs, Relays, VFDs, Thermal Overloads).

  • Electrical maintenance technicians are expected to be able to diagnose the causes of electrical or electromechanical malfunctions or failures of operational equipment in a prompt and efficient manner.

  • Will support mechanical and fabrication projects that may not be in the normal standard electrical maintenance process.

  • Will be expected to participate in improvement projects and help develop plans for new equipment or improved equipment.

  • Performs other duties as required to meet business goals.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Must be able to interpret maintenance specifications, drawings and wiring diagrams to achieve many day-to-day objectives.

  • Must be able to use a multi-meter and conform to all safety standards with the Cummins Guidelines.

  • Must be able to identify risks and understand how to deal with them.

  • Must have Arc Flash knowledge of NFPA 70E.

  • Experience within an automation facility would be preferred.

  • Must be able to navigate priorities and help support our PM Maintenace System.

  • Pay starting at $29.50/HR $0.90/HR 2nd Shift Differential.

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift: 2 PM - 10:30 PM

  • Overtime as needed, every other weekend.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
