Description
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Associate to join our team at the Cummins Engine Plant in Columbus, IN with starting pay of $32.00 -$36.00/hour.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Builds, repairs, and prepares articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment. Performs tests in accordance with set test methods and works with relevant engineering functions to develop and execute testing. Drives continuous improvement in test setup and testing methods. Aids in analysis of test data.
Works with performance engineers to develop measurement techniques; manages/leads test system and test article issue resolution process; manages system teardown consensus reviews, including data analysis, test and teardown reports.
Experience with test cells, data acquisition, and instrumentation devices preferred.
Experience with different data processing tools for large data sets (Matlab, Excel, or similar).
Experience in communicating and presenting technical content.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
Relevant military education and experience.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
