Mobile Applications Systems Engineer/Business Analyst
We are looking for a talented Mobile Applications Systems Engineering/Business Analyst to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develops customer requirements for mobile applications running on Android, iOS, and Windows or other platforms. The key application is the Guidanz Mobile applications available on Google Play and the Apple Store (https://cumminsengines.com/guidanz). The mentioned applications interface with the product being serviced to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
Participates in defining User Experience concepts based on voice of customer and further refines the concepts through functional requirements.
Works with a global development team to evaluate architecture and design options for delivery of products. Supports identifying new technologies and approaches to reduce development times.
Analyzes APIs from delivery partners and identifies gaps and requirements to support changing needs.
Applies a robust failure mode analysis (FMEA) to ensure robustness of products against failures
Fields questions from the customer, development, and test organizations and bridges the gaps in knowledge.
Captures voices and develops requirements using a structured methodology supporting an Agile development process.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other relevant technical disciplines. Experience as a business analyst preferred.
Minimum of 5 years Development and Test Experience. Product development for iOS, Android, Linux, and Windows applications is preferred
Ability to Write, document, explain, uncover/discover and identify a complex situation and deal with high levels of complexity.
Experience utilizing FMEA, client/server and cloud-based technologies, CAN/SAE J1939/Ethernet, databases and UX design principles
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
