Remote Sr Software Developer, Cloud & Web Applications


Cummins is seeking a talented and resourceful cloud and web application development technical professional for this exciting Sr Software Developer role. While Cummins HQ is in Columbus, Indiana this role will offer the ability to work 100% remote .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for building high-quality and innovative software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. This multi-cloud toolkit is foundational and is used to bootstrap many web and mobile applications. It provides common features such as authentication, authorization, CRUD, workflows, reporting, and a mobile responsive and inclusive UI.

  • Participate as a senior developer in global teams that build 12-factor scalable web and mobile apps on serverless cloud platforms such as AWS.

  • Have a good viewpoint on how web, mobile and API development practices and tools are evolving. Mentor others to produce sound application design for the future.

  • Help ensure internal customer projects are executed in alignment with group objectives and technical designs.


To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant related field.

  • Solid experience in full stack web development using JavaScript/TypeScript/ES, NodeJS, Angular and React / React Native.

  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of web and mobile development experience.

  • Proven skills as a technical architect and hands-on with software development and system administration on Cloud environments

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
