Description

Assemble engines to a documented process.Able to follow direction and ensurequality of work is up to acceptable standard. Able to meet stated cycle time and safety requirements.

Level dependent on years of experience described in job responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Follow and obey all Cummins safety procedures.

  • Must be able to follow and interpret process documentation instruction sheets.

  • Maintain a clean work environment.

  • Ensure parts meets the 3 Fs form, fit and function. Perform other duties deemed necessary by supervisor.

  • Wear uniforms and maintain the standard set with regards to appearance and PPE safety.

  • Assist Sr. Assemblers and get up to speed on Quick serve.

Jr. Engine Assembler:(3-5 Years of Experience)

Opposite of disassembly, starting from bare block, installation of new and used parts, torque to spec, and back to

complete engine. Mount on dyno skid and stage for dyno run. (Junior has less experience than senior assembler)

Sr. Engine Assembler:(5 Years of Experience)

Has developed proficiency through job-related training. Diagnosing complicated and failed components. May provide

work leadership including training junior assemblers thru work assignments and resolving routine problems. Should

have experience with components inspection.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

  • High school diploma/GED or relevant experience to the position.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of a manufacturing environment and department’s objectives.

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

  • Must have an internal drive for customer service and provide an elevated level of service for internal and external customers.

  • Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.

  • Must be able to read and write English.

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Intermediate Computer knowledge.

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
