Description

Health Safety Environmental & Facilities Coordinator provides Safety and Facilities support/guidance for all manufacturing areas between Operations and Support areas.

  • Performs routine functions related to a site's HSE objectives and targets and the overall Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).

  • Supports the collection of site HSE KPIs for use at the site and corporate levels.

  • Supports the maintenance of the site HSEMS and achievement of HSE objectives/targets.

  • Assists with internal and external HSE audits; resolves basic issues identified in audits; updates HSEMS documentation.

  • Possess necessary skills, knowledge, and experience related to the operation of powered industrial equipment as an authorized PIV trainer upon completion of "Train-the-Trainer" program.

  • Able to proficiently operate all power equipment (walkie rider, forklift, order picker, reach truck).

  • Train hourly workforce via power point presentation on appropriate standard operating procedures.

  • Train on all PIT equipment (forklift, cherry-picker, reach truck) using training DVD's and classroom materials.

  • Hands on training and certification/re-certifications on the use of material handling power equipment.

  • Conduct/observe drive tests for contingent workers.

  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

  • Involvement with incident investigations.

  • Maintain employee equipment list.

  • Serves as a primary contact for facility health and wellness issues; communicates health and wellness information with facility site management.

  • Interacts effectively with all levels of employees throughout the company.

  • Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Serves as a primary contact for facilities management and monitors the functioning of building systems including electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC), structural, mechanical, fire/life safety, etc.

  • Leads project management and oversees contractors for moderately facilities renovation projects entailing mechanical, structural, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC), electrical, production floor arrangement, etc.

  • Documents repairs and maintenance completed.

  • Advises operations on basic repairs and maintenance requirements.

  • Support indirect purchasing related activities to procure items that are necessary to operate the facility
