If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, our Edmonton Branch has an opening for a PG (Power Generation) Standby Sales .

Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial Power Generation Sales, you will focus on developing relationships and educating Consulting Engineers, working with Electrical Contractors to ensure projects are properly executed, growing our market share, and supporting existing Commercial Standby customer accounts in the Northern Alberta market.

Additional responsibilities are described below:

  • Visit Consulting Engineers, Electrical Contractors and End User to educate, troubleshoot and form relationships – grow presence in market and grow sales to meet AOP goals

  • Assist inside sales team by presenting all relevant material required for an accurate quote

  • Work with projects team to ensure all materials that are required for a clean project are updated and submitted

  • Log all customer visits and critical events; maintain accounts in the CRM

  • Complete monthly mileage and expense reports

  • Follow work plans and abide by Cummins’ sales requirements

  • Drives utilization of Cummins tools and processes (i.e. Customer Relationship Management, Customer focus Six Sigma)

  • Provides leadership and mentoring to less experienced sales representatives


  • Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship

  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to provide 5 years’ clean driver’s abstract

  • Proven understanding & working knowledge of Power Generation Commercial sales

  • Good communication skills to communicate, coach and educate the Cummins value package both internally and externally

  • Must have time management skills and be self-motivated

  • Ability to work in a team structure.

  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.

  • Disciplined in keeping and updating sales records

  • Strong work ethic and a positive mental attitude

  • Able to problem solve effectively

This position will be provided a working desk in Edmonton, but it is expected that at least 50% of the their time will be spent outside the office on sales calls in the assigned region, with 25% travel outside of the greater Edmonton area required.
