Expectations for the EVERETT -based CDL DRIVER :

Cummins Sales and Service is looking for an experienced, team-oriented CDL Driver to support service operations at the Everett Service Center. The CDL driver will perform test drives, quality control inspections, and deliver trucks, buses and RV’s from the customers’ sites to and from the Everett Service Center. This driver will also provide general support at the Everett Service Center as needed.

  • Support Cummins Sales and Service Philosophy, Values and Policies.

  • Pickup and deliver customer trucks, buses and RV’s using a towable vehicle for two-way transport.

  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.

  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.

  • Read and interpret maps in order to determine vehicle routes.

  • Demonstrate safe and defensive driving behavior at all times.

  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

  • Training and experience driving commercial vehicles on local city roads.

  • Excellent driving record for both personal and work-related driving.

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with external and internal customers.

  • Be a self-motivated, team player with the desire to work and communicate well with customers and co-workers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, expedite and follow through to task completion.

  • Demonstrate ability to positively react to change in environment, processes and people.

  • Demonstrate ability to engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take care of customer’s needs while following company procedures and projecting confidence in the Cummins product.

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have and maintain a good driving record and CDL license.

  • Training and experience driving commercial vehicles on local city roads.

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Understand and model Cummins values.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
