We are looking for a talented Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment team in Fletcher, NC .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and making improvements to electrical systems. Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • Troubleshoots PLC programs, ladder logic (read use for troubleshooting), components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet).

  • Performs skilled activities which supports manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance.

  • Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • Troubleshoot 6 axis robotics (FANUC ABB), including running cables, teaching points and homing positions.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.

  • Machine Programming - Creates factory floor machine programs by designing and implementing solutions to improve usage of machine and overall operation.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Factory Automation and Control Systems - Implements changes to further automate manufacturing processes using available technology, programming techniques, and identifying needed material and resources for project completion to provide the optimum automation for the manufacturing environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

  • Electro-Mechanical Skillsets and Abilities. Knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the operation of programmable controllers to trouble shoot a problem from a logic level. Working knowledge of CNC and PLC controls and closed-loop servosystems.

  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing sector and readiness to adhere to safety measures.

  • Must be a quick learner and able to collaborate with others.

  • PLC Experience (Siemens preferred) required.

  • Robotics Experience Strongly Preferred

  • Ability to identify opportunities for mechanical and electrical improvements on new and aging machines and equipment within the facility.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-noise and high-activity environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Fork truck, scissor lift, and crane experience preferred.

  • Manufacturing Equipment Repair and Maintenance Needed

  • Electro-Mechanical Skillsets and Abilities.

  • Knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the operation of programmable controllers to trouble shoot a problem from a logic level.

  • Working knowledge of CNC and PLC controls and closed-loop servosystems.

  • Able to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems prints.

  • Must have experience with troubleshooting methods.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
