We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Leader to join our team specializing in Shop Operations Management for our Power Systems Business Segment in Fridley, MN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manages, develops, and leads the daily activities of multiple production teams.

  • Responsible for the daily activities of multiple production teams including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.

  • Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

  • Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.

  • Coaches and mentors team members.

  • Identifies training needs; develops and implements training plans.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Intermediate level of supervisory experience required.

  • Daily Activity Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple production teams. It includes tasks such as managing team schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels, coordinating with other departments, and addressing any issues that arise during production.

  • Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. It involves ensuring that production areas are kept tidy, safety hazards are minimized, and equipment improperly maintained.

  • Meeting Production Targets: Setting and monitoring production targets, ensuring that teams are working efficiently to meet these targets, and making adjustments as needed to optimize productivity.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with other departments (such as safety, quality control, and maintenance) to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Guidance and Feedback: Providing direction and feedback to team members to help them accomplish their tasks and achieve their goals. This includes setting clear expectations, clarifying responsibilities, and addressing performance issues as needed.

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Supporting the professional development of team members by providing coaching, mentoring, and opportunities for growth. This can include helping team members develop news kills, overcome challenges, and advance in their careers.

  • Training: Identifying training needs within the production teams and developing/implementing training plans to address these needs. This ensures that team members have the knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs effectively and safely.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
