We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to join our Systems Product Specialist Team for our Electronics and Fuel SystemsBusiness Unit in Fridley, MN / Hybrid home office.

This position is part of the Test Systems & Simulation Team of the CE Tec Foundations team. You are responsible for the base layer technical platform and the hardware/software technical development and upgrades related to End of Line (EOL) functional testing. The technical platform is related to Cummins electronic controls and some other finished products.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • The candidate will also conduct software application development. Must be familiar with object-oriented programming (.NET) and be able to debug and update various test applications. They will provide the necessary support per project requirements.

  • Responsible for internal project management on assigned projects. Must work with cross-functional teams (including external contractors and suppliers) to set up plans and update statuses.

  • Must work closely with team members and be able to work with global teams in different time zones.

  • Continued educational development and refreshing knowledge and technical skills is expected. Innovation is needed and the candidate should make recommendations on how to keep test system solutions up to date.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • 3 years minimum experience is required.

  • Must have strong .NET programming background.

  • Some understanding of communication protocols (serial, USB, CAN) and standard electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators) is a plus.

  • Must possess good communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
