We are looking for a talented SOFC System Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Business Segment in Minneapolis, MN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Identifies and implements advanced or complex manufacturing processes or technologies.
Leads, co-leads, or advises manufacturing teams
Applies comprehensive knowledge or use of technology as it applies to manufacturing in a wide range of work situations. Integrates the total impact of manufacturing technology as it applies to advanced or new manufacturing solutions for a safe environment while balancing cost, quality, and delivery.
Manages projects in a cross-functional environment and has the ability to lead matrixed and dotted line teams
Serves as the technical expert for one or more manufacturing disciplines.
Advises and recommends long term resolutions to systemic manufacturing problems.
Provides interfaces and leadership with indirect suppliers
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.
Background in assembly, automation, environmental health & safety considerations, and factory design.
Experience in relevant manufacturing processes, such as: welding, metal forming, machining, instrumentation.
Collaborates closely with system engineering team and leads DFM exercises for high-volume system manufacturing that include supply chain, facilities and suppliers.
Experience with solid oxide fuel cell, solid oxide electrolyzer or other electrochemical systems and related components (heat exchangers, reformers, stacks, blowers, inverters).
Extensive relevant work experience required, including manufacturing or manufacturing plant experience, and leadership of a large project or multiple projects.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
