Cummins Inc. Warehouse Lead in Gladbeck, Germany
Hydrogenics, part of the Cummins Group, is an industry-leading developer of renewable hydrogen technology, and we are currently looking to hire an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Gladbeck facility.
This is a unique opportunity that will determine the success of the site as it prepares for production in Summer 2021. You will be given the freedom to build your own team, implement your own processes and collaborate closely with the Steering Committee on key decisions.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following;
Act as the operational leader for the warehouse function, creating and implementing processes that will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of parts to the production line so that we can meet customer demand.
Manage suppliers, implementing tools to monitor and improve performance, whilst focussing on developing a close, collaborative working relationship.
Advise on potential opportunities for the warehouse function to aid current and future business goals, developing initiatives and tactics to meet global objectives in alignment with business strategies and processes.
Create annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for Parts Distribution Centre operations.
Develop and monitor effective KPI’s that will ensure key deliverables are met. Set individual development goals for your team, sharing your expertise so that they can work effectively and progress within the business.
Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets. Analyse operation trends and develop corrective action plans as required.
Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including costs, resources, and potential capital.
To be successful in this role you will need;
Substantial, existing experience operating as a Warehouse Manager in a structured, manufacturing environment.
Qualifications in the supply chain/ logistics field, or qualified by relevant experience.
A track record of successfully implementing processes in a warehouse or distributions setting.
Advanced knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems is required.
The ability to instil trust with people at various levels. You are renowned for your relationship building skills, and you excel at creating a positive work environment for your team.
You are an advocate for change, institutionalizing a positive culture, whilst ensuring buy in from your colleagues when it comes to any process or department changes.
You are driven by achieving key milestones within given timeframes.
You are fluent in both English and German languages.
