Your responsibilities may include:

This is a welder, fitter, fabricator position- must be versatile and resourceful to “make it work”. This position requires following instruction of team leaders, adhering to all safety procedures, must be dependable. The ideal candidate will be looking for a career rather than their next job.


Duties will include (not limited to):

Follow all safety requirements and promote the safety culture. Everyone goes home the same way they came in.

Report any safety incident or damage immediately. Fully disclose any daily limitations or concerns that may prevent you from doing your job safely or accurately.

Begins with general labor welding- will be subject to welding demonstration during interview

Requires the ability to read and interpret production drawings and to work as a team to accomplish it.

This is a welder, fitter, fabricator position- must be well versed in a variety of skill and ready to learn new skills.

Must be able to pass welding certification and produce quality welds representative of the certification

Cutting and handling of sheet metal and galvanized perforated steel

Working with mild steel from 16ga sheet to ¼” material; includes, galvanized, aluminum, and stainless

Requires drilling, bolting, layout, all manner of fabrication and welding in any position.

Requires working at heights using fall protection and proper PPE.

Must be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds or scissor lift

This is a sheet metal fabrication shop with a high level of production and quality expectations.

Must be dependable, motivated and accountable- jobs are expected to be completed in the time allowed.

This job will require keeping the shop clean, including using the fork lift to take trash to the dumpster.

Also to include general shop maintenance such as inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines- general maintenance, daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reports, welder inspections, daily time sheets.

Expect to be an owner in the department- contribute to safety talks, employee concerns matrix and to measures of continuous improvement

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Must be able to remain standing (work) on concrete floor upwards of 10 hours per day

Must be able to wear a respirator and/or dust mask

Uphold the policies and mission statement of Cummins

Interact in a professional manner with customers, vendors and co-workers at all levels of business

Ability to make decision in a professional business manner

Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with dealers, customers, management, and co-workers.

Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professional appearance.


Maintain company and product confidentiality.

Attend and participate in all meetings, training, and activities as required.

Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency.

Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and rules.

This position requires following instruction of team leaders, standard safety procedures, and dependability.

Due to the manufacturing nature of this opening, all applicants must be 18 years of age

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Cutting and handling of sheet metal and galvanized perforated steel

Cutting and handling of various types of insulation

Ability and/or willingness to learn MIG welding and fabricating- working with mild steel, galvanized, aluminum, and stainless steel

Must be able to remain standing (work) on concrete floor upwards of 10 hours per day

Must be dependable, motivated and accountable to expected deadlines

Must be able to wear a respirator and/or dust mask

Must be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds or scissor lift

Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays when required.

This is a WELDING/FABRICATION position- expect to meet deadlines and perform to company standards and safety protocols.

Maintain a proper work life balance. Come to work expecting to focus on the work, stay safe and be productive.

Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company vehicle, including but not limited to:

Must have a current, valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.

Must have current motor vehicle liability insurance.

Must abide by all local, state and federal rules and regulations.

No convictions for any driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs charges (DUI) within prior 5 years.

No greater than three (3) moving violations within prior 12 month period.

No greater than 2 avoidable accidents on MVR within prior 3 years.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience.
