This is an exciting opportunity in Huddersfield for an ambitious and passionatePlatform Product Engineer working within the Turbo Technologies Platform Engineering Team.
In this role you will work in a small team and report to the Technical Project Leader working on innovative and complex engineering projects focusing on developing turbo technologies between 600 – 1000 Horsepower (HP).
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Lead aspects of High Horse Power (HHP) platform projects, involving the design, development and validation of our leading compressor stage technology.
Lead and support HHP platform fast cycle innovation (FCI) projects.
Collaborate with the Subsystems Team to provide superior platform integration of the HHP product range.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of turbocharger subsystems in order to lead the introduction of new designs and technologies into the HHP product range.
Develop experience working within a global Cummins team.
Skills and Experience Required:
Highly effective communication skills teamed with stakeholder management abilities, capable of working across varied business units and seniority levels
Technically minded with a natural interest and desire to understand the key drivers for technological development
Analytical and familiar with tools for data collection and analysis
Ability to prioritise issues based on level of importance and identify innovative and timely resolutions
Thrive in a busy and varied work environment
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
Compensation and Benefits
£34,257 - £37,500 dependent on experience
