Description
Cummins is looking for a talented Director Digital Product Management to support the overall business unit strategies and objectives.
The ideal candidate will work with the BU segment leaders, account management teams, and OEMS to define and refine the product for a specific market. Utilizing Design Thinking principles to develop customer led product plans. Responsible for the total product roadmap sharing it broadly across the organization and future product opportunities to maximize business results. The ideal leader is results oriented driving towards overall business value and focused on leading indicators like acquisition, engagement, and churn. Working with business units and corporate teams to develop and implement go to market strategies that deliver results in the market.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develop the long-term product strategy, forecast, and the annual operating plan
Provide product line budget requirements into the business unit annual operating plan
Direct the development of product introduction plans through Senior Product Managers and Product Managers
Ensure that the marketing mix reflects current trends and business needs in support of product management
Direct market research capabilities to ensure that product management has the tools to thoroughly understand Cummins’ target market and competitors. Defines and adopts, in the target market, a specific stance relative to the competition with the use of market research capabilities
Ensure that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively and leads and supports internal and external communications in relations to the product range
Drive improvements through ongoing customer satisfaction activities
Ensure that appropriate resources, both people and tools, are available to successfully product launches
Guide the development, implementation, and measurement of results of product promotions
Represent the interests of product management with other functions and global locations to ensure global collaboration and maximum profitability of the product lines under management
Coach and motivates Senior Product Managers and Product Managers; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs

Education/Licenses/Experience
College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related subject required
MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
Significant experience required including strategy, managerial, and budgetary experience. Broad business understanding required
