Description
We are looking for a talented Finance & Investors Relations Director - Executive Communications to join our Communications team, specializing in Finance and Investor Relations Communication. This role is hybrid and based in our Indianapolis, IN, location.
Serving as key member of the Executive Communications team, the Director, Executive Communications, will lead the communications strategy and associated activities for the Finance and Investor Relations organizations. This includes leading and consulting on executive communications for the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Investor Relations, as well as leading and supporting communications efforts for financial reporting, quarterly earnings, the annual meeting, and key investor relations external events.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Act as key leader on the Cummins Executive Communications team, supporting and leading key elements of the company's executive visibility, thought leadership and internal and external communications strategy.
Lead all strategic communications activities for the company's Finance and Investor Relations teams, including direct integration and communications leadership for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President of Investor Relations. This should include both recurring items and new proactive tactics.
Create and execute the global communications strategy for the company's quarterly earnings process, including all internal and external communications activities. This includes working closely with key stakeholders across the Cummins Leadership Team, businesses, Investor Relations, Finance, Government Relations, Legal and more.
Partner with the company's Investor Relations organization to ensure and lead robust communications strategies and message development for Analyst Day and other key investor events and communications activities.
Create and execute a visibility and thought leadership strategy for the CFO.
Partner with the Employee Communications team to ensure high-impact employee communications activities are supported through strategic communications planning, message development and execution.
Support the development and execution of the company's executive visibility and thought leadership strategy meant to promote the company's growth strategy and executive leadership; collaborate with other Communications Leaders and integrators and define roles as necessary to execute the strategy.
Co-lead and support content development and execution for quarterly officer's meetings, as well as Board of Directors content as necessary.
Work across the organization to develop deep relationships with key business partners and leaders (Business Segment Leaders, Investor Relations, Government Relations, Corporate Responsibility, Legal, Human Resources) who help inform the communications strategy for key audiences.
Manage and maintain budget/financials as needed.
Digital experience highly preferred (emerging trends, digital for business, metrics, paid vs. organic, advertising content).
Graphic design skills, visual communications channel capabilities, global perspective and client/account management experience highly preferred. This role will collaborate with in-house design and video team to execute on creative elements associated with the global communications strategy.
B2B experience highly preferred.

Education/Experience
College, university, or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
MBA, Master’s in communications, Marketing, or equivalent degree highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $127,500 (min) - $212,500 (max). Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
